The legendary former striker is currently coach of Bayern Munich’s U17’s, but he could be poised to make a move to the first team in the coming months.

Since hanging up his boots, the legendary Miroslav Klose has pursued a coaching career. Currently, he finds himself with the Bayern Munich U17’s, whom he’s managed since May 2018. Klose is highly rated by the brass in Munich. So much so, that EuroSport allege that he will become one of Hansi Flick’s assistants in the near future.

The report states that Flick already knows Klose well from their work together for the German National Team. Furthermore, Klose already has a defined role for when he joins on — working with Bayern’s front men. Robert Lewandowski, Joshua Zirkzee, & co. would truly be “learning from the best.” EuroSport claim Klose’s appointment is done and finalised, with an official statement coming soon.

However, that may not actually be the case. According to Sport1’s Florian Plettenberg, nothing has been finalised yet. Otherwise, Plettenberg largely corroborates EuroSport’s story by stating that (the very real) talks are progressing well and there is a high likelihood that Klose will become assistant.

With respect to the personnel question concerning Klose, nothing is final yet according to my information. Talks are proceeding well, things are becoming more concrete. Trend: he’ll become Flick’s assistant coach, bringing above all his offensive expertise with him.

Guess you could say, talks are Klose to being done...

It appears that Klose will join the main roster at some point or another. From all accounts, he has the potential to be a fantastic coach and this is just the next step to further progressing in his managerial exploits. Who knows? We could see him in Flick’s position in a few years time.
