When the season was suspended at the end of March due to the COVID19 outbreak in Europe, several things — including the future of Hansi Flick — were up in the air at Bayern Munich. One important question that is still not completely resolved is Manuel Neuer’s contract extension.

The drama regarding the skipper’s future escalated a few weeks ago when Bild published an exclusive interview with Neuer and his agent Thomas Kroth, where they spoke about confidential information being leaked from inside the club.

According to SportBild, the Bayern management is satisfied with Neuer’s flexibility on the contract extension, as he mentioned in the interview that he likewise thinks a five-year contract is unrealistic — but the club will stand firm and will not improve the offer they’ve already placed regarding the contract. Bild also has learned that the club will not issue a fine for the unauthorized interview, even though it was not well-received by the management.

While we wait for the finale of this drama, enjoy this:
