Daily Schmankerl: Coman “refuses to rule out” Pep Guardiola reunion, Klopp to replace Mané with Mbappé, Coutinho’s amazing yoga

Kingsley Coman praised Pep Guardiola. Of course that must mean he wants to transfer to Manchester City.

Coman “refuses to rule out” ManCity for Pep Guardiola reunion (The Sun)

The rumors around Kingsley Coman just won’t go away. This time The Sun gave its own spin on some remarks Coman made about Manchester City coach Pep Guardiola in a recent interview. Coman singled Guardiola out as the best coach he had worked with. He said (their translation),

For a player in my position, a winger who likes to hit and provoke, he is the best coach we can have because that is what demands us the most.

He creates systems to have one-on-one situations and it’s the system where I can flourish the most. He didn’t ask me to have stats. He just asked me to take, hit and centre. And that was what I appreciated very much.

Coman said he doesn’t know what he wants in five years, and you know what that means: The Sun runs the headline MAN CITY ON ALERT AS BAYERN STAR COMAN REFUSES TO RULE OUT TRANSFER.

There’s nothing more to this rumor than wishful thinking.

Klopp to replace Mané with Mbappé (The Sun)

It’s the circle of lies: take one hypothetical transfer and speculate about a second hypothetical transfer in response. Who better than The Sun to keep the wheel turning. Real Madrid’s Zinedine Zidane is “a huge fan” of Liverpool’s Sadio Mané, who “only signed his £150,000-a-week contract, designed to keep him with Liverpool until 2023, 18 months ago.”

But SunSport “understands his representatives have already been approached for informal talks” about a transfer to Real Madrid. So with the hypothetical £100m that Liverpool would get for 28-year-old star, they would only need to add a hypothetical £150m to pry Mbappé away from PSG for a hypothetical total of £250m.

Hypothetically, of course.
