Bayern Munich II have picked up another massive three points on their quest to survive their first season back in the 3.Liga. On Saturday, Bayern II topped Sonnenhof Großaspach 2-0 on goals from Fiete Arp and Sarpreet Singh, and it could’ve been a more lopsided score than that if a few bounces went Bayern II’s way.
Arp finally gave Bayern II the lead in the 61st minute. Woo-yeong Jeong fed the ball into the path of Arp, and the forward gathered control and slotted it past the goalkeeper. It’s his second goal in back-to-back games.
Then, ten minutes later, Singh smashed home a volley on a deflected cross to give the Bavarians a 2-0 lead.

The win moves Bayern II onto 41 points, in a four-way tie (possible five-way depending on Monday’s results). To give you an idea of how tight the 3.Liga table is at the moment, Bayern II are six points off of first place and nine points out of the relegation zone.
Next Saturday, Bayern II will make the hour long bus trip up to Ingolstadt. The two sides are level on points, so it should be an outstanding match.
