Bayern Munich II grabbed their third straight victory to start the second half of the 3.Liga season on Saturday. The 4-2 victory over Viktoria Köln avenges a 2-5 loss the Bavarians suffered earlier this season when Bayern II were just getting started in the third division.

Woo-yeong Jeong made his first start since joining Bayern II on loan, and he made an instant impact. In the 14th minute, Jeong played a beautiful ball through the Köln backline into space for Otschi Wriedt. The big forward slipped it under the Köln goalkeeper to put Bayern II up 1-0.
Köln would find their equalizer just before the hour mark. A great chip out of midfield brought Christian Früchtl way off his line. Simon Handle got the ball first, however, and shot it into the empty net to make it 1-1.
Sarpreet Singh put Bayern II back on top with a goal in the 70th minute, just six minutes after entering the game. A free kick from Angelo Stiller ended up at the feet of Singh at the top of the penalty area. The New Zealand international took a touch and fired the ball into the back of the net.
But, Köln never stopped fighting. They pulled themselves level again in the 82nd minute thanks to a nice shot in the box from Steven Lewerenz. That even score, however, would not last.
In the 89th minute, Chris Richards headed home the match winner, putting Wriedt’s cross out of the goalkeeper’s reach. Singh would add the final nail in Köln’s coffin in stoppage time. With the goalkeeper forward on a free kick, Singh broke free after it was cleared, sending a long shot into the goal to seal the victory.
Bayern XI: Früchtl - Yilmaz, Richards, Mai, Köhn - Stiller, Welzmüller, Jeong (87. Arp), Batista-Meier (63. Singh) - Wriedt, Dajaku (71. Kühn)

The win moves Bayern II to 32 points and 10th place in the 3.Liga. More importantly, the Bavarians are now 8 points clear of the relegation zone.
On Monday the 17th, Bayern II will host Hallescher FC at the Grünwalder Stadion. Hallescher are currently tied on points with Bayern II; however, they are ahead in the table due to goal differential.
