Injuries are tormenting Bayern Munich year after year. Yesterday Alphonso Davies took a knock in team training, Kimmich was sick, and today Manuel Neuer missed team training with a stomach virus.

According to AZ, Manuel Neuer was unable to participate in Thursday’s team training on account of a gastrointestinal infection. He will be sidelined for the next couple of days and may even miss Sunday’s clash against FC Köln. Luckily for Bayern, nothing serious is going on with Neuer, and Sven Urleich will be ready to fill in as a substitute.

Davies and Kimmich back in training

Bayern fans endured a shock yesterday when they found out that rising star Alphonso Davies injured his ankle and was carried off the pitch by a golf cart. Luckily for everyone, he was given the green light by the club’s doctors. The Canadian resumed team training today and will most likely play against Köln.

Another piece of good news is that Joshua Kimmich is also back in team training after missing yesterday’s session with a cold.

Bayern will play Köln on Sunday. It will be interesting to see whether Hansi Flick will change his usual starting eleven despite the latest injuries.
