Devastating news from Munich — Alphonso Davies might be injured. The Canadian has been one of Bayern’s best players this season.

FC Bayern Muenchen Doha Training Camp - Day 6

Bad news, everyone. Just a couple of weeks before Bayern Munich face Chelsea in the Champions League, the club might have lost one of its best players. Alphonso Davies, who has been lighting it up at left back this season, had to cut team training short after a challenge from Corentin Tolisso and Serge Gnabry.

According to Bild, the injury didn’t look too serious at first, but Davies had to cut training short when the pain persisted. He was carted away in a golf cart with an ice pack on his ankle.

Needless to say, this is devastating news. Hopefully, the issue isn’t anything big, but knowing how things are at Bayern, you can’t help but fear the worst. With just two games coming in the next two weeks, Davies has plenty of time to get fit before Bayern face Chelsea. Hopefully, he’s okay.

We’ll keep you updated as the story develops.

Update

According to Bayern, Alphonso Davies only suffered a minor ankle injury. Meanwhile Johshua Kimmich missed team training with a cold.
