Javi Martinez rarely gets a start for Bayern Munich these days and the veteran was poised and ready for this weekend’s Bundesliga clash between Bayern and RB Leipzig. Unfortunately, the Spanish defensive midfielder had to leave the match quite early.
In the 25th minute, Javi was subbed off for Jamal Musiala. Javi started limping around the 20th minute after he made a tackle. Apparently, he stretched his groin while making that tackle and the match is over for the experienced Spaniard.
Just before the match had begun, the French left-back Lucas Hernandez was left out of the squad. It wasn’t clear what was the problem, but some sources are suggesting that he’s out with some thigh problems.

Javi’s injury doesn’t look too serious, and he will hopefully be back soon.
The good news for Bayern fans is that Jamal Musiala, who was subbed in for Martinez, scored a beautiful equalizer, but the score is currently 2:2. Don’t forget to follow our live blog!
