It has been a busy week for the walking wounded at Bayern Munich, but progress is being made. Per a report from Bild, some of Bayern Munich’s injured players are steadily preparing for a return, while others are hitting some frustrating roadblocks.
Here is the rundown:
- Alphonso Davies: Davies is back in team training and was able to complete the 75-minute session. Davies will be gradually re-integrated into the squad, with a return in the middle of this month being targeted.
- Corentin Tolisso: Tolisso was unable to train with the team and his status is in doubt for Saturday’s Bundesliga tilt against RB Leizpig. Tolisso trained 40 minutes with coach Simon Martinello and his workout consisted of jogging, using the agility ladder, and coordination exercises.
- Tanguy Nianzou: The youngster did not train, but no other information was provided. Nianzou seems to have been touched by the fabled injury gods on Säbener Straße as he has had no luck staying healthy.
- Joshua Kimmich: Kimmich worked with coach Peter Schlösser and did some passing drills, while also putting in 25 minutes of his jogging (forward, backpedaling, and other agility-based movements). Kimmich is still slated for a January return.
