The international recruitment for Bayern Munich phenom Jamal Musiala is about to heat up. A youth player for England, Musiala’s dual citizenship also makes him eligible for Germany — who could probably use a player of his ilk.
Musiala, who is allegedly leaning toward a future with the Three Lions, is in a very unique position. Born to a Nigerian father and Germany mother, Musiala was born in Stuttgart before moving to England where he spent his formative years.

Sport Bild’s print edition featured a story detailing that Joachim Löw could potentially sway Musiala to join Die Mannschaft if he offers an invite to the youngster in March. What is becoming clear, though, is that whichever country’s senior-team makes him an offer first will be in the driver’s seat to secure his commitment.
Sport Bild indicated that Löw “should not hesitate too long with a call if he wants to win Musiala for the DFB.”
Will Musiala opt to player for his homeland or the country where he really grew and developed as a player?
Stay tuned. We could know within the coming weeks.
