Bayern Munich midfielders Leon Goretzka and Javi Martinez have both been battling injuries. Goretzka apparently struggles with a muscle injury, while Martinez is steadily recovering from his thigh injury. It is still unclear whether either player will be available for Bayern Munich’s Saturday Bundesliga clash against Bayer Leverkusen.
Sky News reporter Torben Hoffmann shared videos of two players training individually today at the Säbener Straße. The reporter said that Leon is in a race against time for Saturday’s match, but it’s yet not excluded that Goretzka might start:

The veteran Spaniard is also working individually on his comeback. Although it is not clear when will Javi be at Hansi Flick’s disposal, it seems that he won’t be ready this weekend:

It would be good for Bayern if Leon Goretzka would be ready for the match against Leverkusen as Bayern are struggling in midfield after Joshua Kimmich was injured. Hopefully, Bayern’s medical staff won’t rush the comeback of Goretzka, who will be key to the squad’s hopes in the second half of the season.
