If there were any two players you would pick to aggressively work through an injury at Bayern Munich, Joshua Kimmich and Robert Lewandowski would surely be at the top of the list.
With most of their teammates in Spain preparing to face Atletico Madrid tonight, the duo hit the training grounds at Säbener Straße per Bild. Kimmich did a 30-minute running session and made some news by wearing the team’s new green training kit.
Hansi Flick is looking forward to getting his star midfielder back in the mix.
“I hope that Joshua will be with us again soon,” Flick said. “I see him every day. He’s here from morning-to-night working towards his comeback and sweating. It’s very important to us as a team. He’s in control of the game, he sets up a lot of goals and scores a lot for his position.”

Lewandowski, meanwhile, was able to complete a running session that last 22 minutes at a “brisk pace” per Bild. With the Polish Hitman looking to both solve his minor muscular issues and get some rest, it seems that the Poland international is following the designed plan:

Tanguy Nianzou, Tiago Dantas, Alphonso Davies, and Marc Roca also were visible on the grounds and were engaged in a small group training that was led by fitness coach Simon Martinello.
