Bayern Munich will face a Regionalliga side in DFB Pokal Frauen

The Bavarians will face either Delmenhorst or Walddörfer SV.

The draw for the Round of 16 in the 2020/21 DFB Pokal Frauen has taken place, and Bayern Munich know who they’re facing. Well, they kind of know who they’re facing. The Bavarians will be hitting a road to face a Regionalliga team, but they just don’t know which one it will be yet.

Bayern will face the winner of a match between TV Jahn Delmenhorst and Walddörfer SV. Both clubs play in the Regionalliga Nord (Germany’s third division).

The games are currently scheduled to take place on December 5th and 6th; however, due to COVID-19, the games could be postponed and played at a different time. Germany is currently under some quarantine restrictions, and the women’s Regionalliga (along with the 2.Bundesliga Frauen) are currently suspended for the month of November.

(The men’s draw also took place on Sunday.)
