Per a report from Sky Sport, Bayern Munich midfielder Leon Goretzka’s comeback attempt might have hit a roadblock ... in the form of Chris Richards.
When training against each other during practice today, Richards and Goretzka collided during a challenge, which left the 25-year-old Germany international on the ground — and in pain.
Eventually, Goretzka was able to get up and partake in some individual drills, but he was icing what looked to be his ankle per the report. It is key to note that a calf injury had previously sidelined Goretzka, so this is a different ailment altogether.

Bild, however, is reporting that Goretzka’s status for Saturday’s showdown against Borussia Dortmund in Der Klassiker is not likely to be affected by today’s events. As of now, Goretzka is expected dress against BVB.

As for Richards, he came away unscathed, in what was surely just part of normal, every day training physicality. Clearly, this is not a situation where “Everybody Hates Chris.”
(I’ll see myself out) (Editor’s note: Yikes)
