Early in Bayern Munich’s match against Werder Bremen, Lucas Hernandez collided with Werder Bremen’s Theodor Gebre Selassie. Both players continued to play, but about five minutes later, Hernandez went down again and needed to be subbed off with an apparent leg injury in the 18th minute.

Leon Goretzka entered the match, causing Bayern to shift Javi Martinez back to center-back. Werder Bremen has had the better chances and Bayern will have to sure up the defense to amongst these unexpected changes.

In the 25th minute, Kingsley Coman also went down after being kicked and needed attention, but continued to play after the trainer attended to him. Coman seems to be okay.

BFW Analysis

With Alphonso Davies already out, the status of Hernandez is going to have Bayern Munich fans wondering when this injury madness will end — and also what the solution will be if Hernandez has miss any substantial time.

Hopefully this is a minor knock, but we could see David Alaba push out wide (YES!) or Bouna Sarr (NO!) switch to the left-side if Hernandez will miss any significant amount of games.
