They’re not lights out every time, but Bayern Munich Frauen have won another match, this time against Carl Zeiss Jena in the DFB Pokal. Their 2-0 victory sends them into the Round of 16 of the 2020/21 DFB Pokal Frauen.
Viviane Asseyi scored in the first half while Simone Laudehr bagged one in the second half to seal the victory. The Bavarians had plenty of opportunities to score goals in each half and will feel disappointed to only come away with a 2-0 victory against a second division side.
“In the end the goal is to get through in the cup and we achieved that,” coach Jens Scheuer said, “The upcoming tasks will of course be much more difficult.

Bayern XI: Benkarth – Ilestedt, Wenninger, Hegering, Simon – Zadrazil, Magull – Asseyi (85. Pollak), Dallmann (76.), Bühl – Schüller (69. Laudehr)
Bayern will take the field again on Sunday November 8th when they face bottom-of-the-table SV Meppen. It should be another win for Bayern as they seek to remain on top of the table and, perhaps, keep another clean sheet.
