The Bavarian Podcast Works Show - Episode 28: Calling for Reinforcements

We discuss Bayern’s close call against Hertha and look at the transfer window

All work and no Bayern Munich games makes Jake a dull boy.

It’s so weird to consider these four things all at once:

a) Only a few league games have been played this year

b) the International Break is upon us

c) the transfer window just closed

d) It’s October (a.k.a March 222nd)

So with all of that considered, it’s been a hectic two weeks for Bayern. We’ve already covered the win in the UEFA SuperCup over Sevilla and then the eventual loss to Hoffenheim. On this episode, we decided to skip recapping the DFL-Supercup because that seems like ages ago. Instead we moved to more immediate issues:

Today on the podcast:
*After 90 Minutes - Hertha Berlin: In an incredibly close game, one of the best of the season, Bayern eeked out a 4-3 win over Die Alte Dame at the Allianz. We talk about the backline issues, Lewandowski’s phenomenal form, and whether or not that last penalty should’ve been given (spoiler alert: yes)
*Transfer Recap: From Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting to Bouna Sarr, we go over all of Bayern’s last minute transfers. Also, we look at the rest of the league and pick the team we think did the best out of everyone.
