Per RMC Sport, Bayern Munich had its eyes on another French right-back before settling on former Olympique Marseille defender Bouna Sarr. The player the Bavarians reached out to was Paris Saint-Germain’s Colin Dagba.
Given the recently frosty relations between Bayern Munich and PSG over Tanguy Nianzou’s controversial move to Germany, it is no shock that there was no deal. Per RMC Sport, though, it does not appear that the conversation even went past Dagba’s agent, Patrick Glanz:
From German sources, it is confirmed that Bayern Munich discussed this subject on several occasions with Patrick Glanz, the representative of Colin Dagba. The international decided not to move and to focus on an additional year in Paris.
Like Sarr, Dagba was considered as a player who could back-up Benjamin Pavard at right-back for the Bavarians, but Dagba’s desire to stay in France was ultimately worth more than any deal Bayern Munich could offer.
