The arrival of former Espanyol midfielder at Bayern Munich effectively ended any hopes that Adrian Fein would be able to stick the Bavarian first-team for the 2020/2021 season. Unable to impress manager Hansi Flick, Fein has moved to PSV Eindhoven on a one-year loan deal per FCBayern.com.
Fein, who was on loan with Hamburger SV last season, was expected to compete for playing time in the Bayern Munich midfield. The cast of Joshua Kimmich, Leon Goretzka, Corentin Tolisso, and Marc Roca appears to have made Fein an excess piece on the roster.
“Adrian has developed very well in his previous positions at Jahn Regensburg and Hamburger SV,” said Bayern Munich sporting director Hasan “Brazzo” Salihamidžić. “He will now take the next step in a very interesting league with the European League participant, PSV Eindhoven. We are convinced that Adrian will take over a leading role at PSV and further develop his qualities.”
Interestingly, Salihamidžić’s reference to Fein being expected to take on a leadership role could be a move that is good for the player’s future whether that is with Bayern Munich or elsewhere.
Oooh wat is het toch Fein,
