Per a release from FCBayern.com, Hansi Flick has a new back-up right-back at his disposal in former Olympique Marseille defender Bouna Sarr. A 28-year-old, Sarr, has signed a four-year deal with the Bavarians and is likely slotted as a back-up to Benjamin Pavard. Sarr is happy to have made the move to the reigning Champions League title holders.

“I’m very happy to be joining a great club like FC Bayern,” Sarr said. “It’s a dream come true and I will do everything I can to help continue the successful history of this club.”

Bayern Munich sporting director Hasan “Brazzo” Salihamidžić is a fan of his new acquisition.

“Bouna Sarr is a dynamic right-back who fits in very well with the way we approach our game. He’ll help us in an important position,” Salihamidžić stated. “At 28, he brings stability and experience to the table, and we also believe that he’ll develop further at FC Bayern.”

Bayern Munich and Olympique Marseille have also been in negotiations for Michaël Cuisance, but there is no word on the status of that potential transaction.
