A report broke this morning that Bayern Munich and Marseille were negotiating a swap of sorts for Michaël Cuisance and Bouna Sarr. Now, the story has developed further, and it appears as though this deal will be finalized on Monday.
Footmercato is relaying a report from Téléfoot that Cuisance landed in Marseille on Sunday evening in order to have an early Monday morning physical. If Cuisance passes the physical, Bayern and Marseille are set to finalize a one-year loan deal with an option to buy.
On the Sarr front, Bild+ and Footmercato are reporting that Bayern and Marseille have agreed to a €10 million (plus bonuses) deal. Bayern and Sarr are yet to agree to the financial side of things; however, a four year contract is waiting for Sarr when they do.
What the Sarr deal means for Chris Richards remains to be seen. Richards was one of Bayern’s best players on the field against Hertha Berlin. Sarr isn’t a long-term replacement for Pavard, as he’s four years older; however, his presence almost certainly ends Richards’ potential development with the first team this season.
