One of the down moments from Bayern Munich II’s 2-0 win over Waldhof Mannheim last weekend was seeing Portuguese midfielder Tiago Dantas have to leave the game with an injury.
There was little talk of his status yesterday, but Bayern Munich has released a statement on its official website today that states the 19-year-old phenom has been cleared to return to training. Dantas is expected to officially return to training in the coming days and should resume with his normal spot in the Bayern Munich II central midfield when ready for game play:

It was unclear exactly what the nature of Dantas’ injury was initially. Some speculated that it was an ankle injury, but Bayern Munich stated that the youngster sustained a bruise to his lower leg. In the sometimes rough-and-tumble 3.Liga, Dantas’ endurance and physicality will surely be tested over the course of this season.
Listed at 5-foot-7 (1.70 meters) and 128 pounds (58 kilograms), Dantas will be working on improving his physique in hopes of becoming more durable.
