A second member of Bayern Munich has now tested positive for COVID-19 after Serge Gnabry on the eve of the Champions League game against Atletico Madrid, which Bayern went on to win 4-0.
The person in question this time is physiotherapist Gianni Bianchi (Bild). Bianchi works closely with the team and treats the players regularly. Bild says Bianchi was, for instance, Franck Ribery’s go-to man until he left the club for Fiorentina in 2019.
There is presently no information as to when or where Bianchi became infected, but he was not with the team on Wednesday for the game against Atletico.
False false positive for Gnabry?
The popular (and very useful) Twitter account @iMiaSanMia is further reporting that Serge Gnabry took a second COVID-19 test that came back negative. They cite Bild, but neither of their versions of the Bianchi story (Bild+ and Sport Bild) add any information about Gnabry.
According to Bild, Serge Gnabry has undergone a second Covid test and the result was surprisingly negative

The Sport Bild story includes a teaser inviting readers to subscribe to Bild+ to find out “what surprise there was for Gnabry” — but as of this writing that article states nothing new about the star. Hansi Flick said earlier today that he was doing well and asymptomatic.
Update: Bild removed report about Gnabry
Update: Bild have now removed the part saying that Gnabry has tested negative from their article. So it remains to be seen whether it was true https://t.co/Lo7wDdfzZO
