Bayern Munich II midfielder Angelo Stiller is one of the more intriguing prospects playing for the Bavarians in 3.Liga. The 19-year-old defensive midfielder has performed admirably so far this season and is starting to make other clubs take notice, including Premier League side Wolverhampton (per a report captured by The Birmingham Mail):

Wolverhampton Wanderers are interested in rising Bayern Munich star Angelo Stiller, according to reports. The Sun on Sunday journalist Alan Nixon says Wolves want to complete a second swoop on the European champions.

Nixon’s original tweet is below:

Stiller, who has also reportedly been scouted by Arsenal, might be willing to make the jump to England based on the overall depth of Bayern Munich’s midfield group on the first-team. With Joshua Kimmich, Leon Goretzka, Corentin Tolisso, Marc Roca, Javi Martinez, and Tanguy Nianzou all jockeying for position under Hansi Flick, the chance for any type of first-team break through seems extremely slim for any central midfielder at this stage.

Wolverhampton is no stranger to scoping the reserve ranks at Bayern Munich. Last season, the Wolves brought in former Bayern Munich prospect Meritan Shabani to bolster its central and wide midfield positions. Unfortunately for Shabani, the 21-year-old suffered a major knee injury after joining Wolverhampton and missed the majority of last season.

Shabani did make his return in early September and has been featuring for Wolverhampton’s reserve team in Premier League 2.
