In a transfer window that has not contained many — if any — sagas for Bayern Munich, the pursuit of American outside-back Sergino Dest qualified as the only potential major move the Bavarians were considering to date.
The news that Dest would be headed to FC Barcelona is not new, but now it is official as the Barca social media team was hard at work in producing this hype video, which I will say is not “Cuisance Quality” (the new standard for hype videos around these parts whether he is at Leeds United or not):
The American Dream in Barcelona.

@sergino_dest, welcome to Barça! #DE2TCuler pic.twitter.com/gq6avTiHq8
So, there you have it. Bayern Munich is still a bit thin and Dest is now officially a part of FC Barcelona after an intense pursuit that left the Bavarians feeling a bit scorned. After yesterday, maybe another American is the solution behind Benjamin Pavard who just happens to already be in-house: Chris Richards.
We’ll see how it plays out with Richards, but either way, “Sergino...has reached...his final...Dest-ination.”
YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!
