News coming out of Bayern’s winter camp in Doha is a mixture of celebratory news and concerning news. Thiago is expected to leave following today’s training in Doha to go home for the birth of his second child. All of us at BFW offer our congratulations to Thiago and his wife Júlia Vigas for the birth of their second child!

In other news, we have yet another injury to an attacking player. Reports coming out of Doha this morning states that super-sub Joshua Zirkzee trained individually today as he appeared to have suffered a knock to his foot yesterday.

The next minor injury at FC Bayern: Joshua Zirkzee received a knock on the foot. He completed only running training today. A precautionary measure by coach Flick.
Considering Bayern’s horrendous stretch of recent injuries (See: Gnabry and Coman), I am all for them being precautionary regarding Zirkzee. That being said, it is extremely disheartening to see yet another injury to a player. Given our depth is already very thin, hopefully Zirkzee’s injury is very minor and he’ll be ready to go to start the second half of the Bundesliga season.
