Hansi Flick sets his and the team’s sights on the continental treble in a “secret meeting”

The caretaker coach presented his ambitious plans in a “title-winning speech” along with a training schedule similar to the one used by previous treble winning manager Jupp Heynckes.

FC Bayern Muenchen Doha Training Camp - Day 3

As Bayern Munich continue to roll with the annual winter break in Doha, SportBild has recently come out with news regarding a certain “secret meeting.” Flick held a meeting for his players where he laid out his plans for 2020 in a PowerPoint presentation. The presentation contained the schedule of the training camp, Bayern’s opponents in the Rückrunde, and photos of the Champions League, Bundesliga and Pokal trophies, serving as a reminder that a club like Bayern should aim to win all competitions. Quite the detailed leak for something so secret!

Flick demonstrated the ambition of a world-class club like Bayern — to always aim for all three trophies. He reportedly said,

We are FC Bayern, we have big goals. We want to win all three titles.

It is always great to hear that Bayern’s goal is to win every competition despite ongoing issues regarding injuries, a long-term coaching solution, and a team in transition. Flick’s decision to adopt a training schedule similar to Jupp’s, which includes a morning jog at 7:30 followed by two high-intensity sessions, reflects his intention to follow up on his words with actions.

Be that as it may, any realistic chance for Flick’s plans to come to fruition would appear to depend on additions in the current transfer window as the squad continues to thin out. A team with hardly eleven fully fit players on the roster would not be enough to win one, let alone three, competitions.

Following the Neuer-Nübel situation currently going on at the club, it is also alarming to hear another internal matter has leaked in such detail. As multiple contract negotiations will take place in the spring and a major transfer project will get underway in the summer, Bayern could do with one or two less moles and plug their privacy leak.
