Bayern Munich have kicked off their Rückrunde by adding 6 points in two games to the Bundesliga table. With injured players returning to training and showing signs of improvement, things are looking better for the Bavarians — who are currently sitting in second position, a point behind RB Leipzig.

The most recent report coming out from the Säbener Straße is reassuring. After thrashing Schalke 04, the players had two days off to recharge their batteries before starting their training session for the weekend. (via FCBayern)

Javi Martinez, who contracted a severe muscular injury to his right thigh towards the end of the Hinrunde, is reported to have completed running laps on the lawn before joining the rest of the squad. Along with the Spaniard, Kingsley Coman (capsular tear) also worked in an individual training unit on Tuesday morning. As both of them are working hard towards a comeback, they are expected to rejoin the team soon.

Lucas Hernandez will be getting some minutes very soon as he was able to wrap up a full training session with the team this week. Hansi Flick’s next test is an away match against Mainz at the Opel Arena on Saturday.
