The stunning news that basketball legend Kobe Bryant had perished in a helicopter crash with several other people, including his daughter Gianna, elicited stunned responses worldwide. Among those devastated by the news were many of Bayern Munich’s players, past and present. It’s no secret that many of Bayern’s players are also basketball fans, and as they say, “Game recognize game.”
As Robert Lewandowski said, Bryant was, “One of the greatest athletes of all time.” Below are many of the reactions of Bayern players, current and past, and a handful of other important voices across the soccer world.
