According to a new report published Sport Bild, Bayern Munich are looking to bring in defensive support this January transfer window. Specifically mentioned is Real Madrid right back Alvaro Odriozola. The 24-year-old Spaniard is touted as the club’s primary target, and the Bavarians look at winter reinforcements, specifically at the right back position.

Having joined Madrid from Real Sociedad in 2018 for approximately €30 million, the current transfer value of Odriozola is around €20 million, according to transfermarkt. The youngster has managed only 434 minutes this season, and report states that Real Madrid are keen to loan out the 24-year old.

Furthermore, the report also mentions 26 year old Nelson Semedo as another potential option for Bayern at RB. Citing Mundo Deportivo, they claim that Semedo has lost his starting position at Barcelona and as such is available for transfer.

This short report has quite a of information regarding Bayern’s potential January transfers. That being said, if it ends up being one of the two, that will undoubtedly help shore up the lack of depth in FC Bayern’s defense.

Odriozola was not present in Real Madrid’s training. It could be official very soon.
