Good news for Bayern Munich! The French defender Lucas Hernandez is back in team training. He has been sidelined since October after he suffered a partial tear of the inner ligament in the right ankle joint. He required surgery to repair the injury, but now his comeback is finally approaching.
According to Bild, he finished today’s training session without any problems and fully participated. He had already begun with team training in Doha, but did not fully participate until now. Abendzeitung’s Maximilian Koch photographed him training with the players who did not start in Berlin.

While the first team cycled indoors, Lucas trained with the second team and other players who didn’t start against Hertha Berlin. After warming up, the program included a match without goals followed by a training match.
After the 75-minute session, the Frenchman looked flat and made stress tests with the operated ankle. The most important thing: he has no problems with his injury.
The next game for Bayern will be on the 25th of January against Schalke 04, but it is too soon for Hernandez’s comeback.
