Bayern Munich rumored to be interested in Mikel Oyarzabal (Bild via AS)
Bild has not published anything about the rumors online as of this writing, but multiple outlets, including Diario AS and 90min, relate that Bild has learned of Bayern Munich’s rumored interest in Mikel Oyarzabal to reinforce their left wing.
If that name sounds familiar, that is because Oyarzabal was the same player scouted by Manchester City to replace Leroy Sané, who will almost certainly transfer to Bayern in the summer.
Oyarzabal is 22 years old and plays for Real Sociedad, where he has scored 7 goals and assisted 6 in 1,679 minutes (Transfermarkt). He would indeed be a strong candidate, and he could help the team immediately. As Hasan Salihamidzic has emphasized, that is the kind of player Bayern want.
But Oyarzabal would be very expensive, perhaps almost as expensive as Sané himself come summer. His release clause has been variously reported as €60–€80 million. Then there is the fact that Bayern would almost certainly annoy Manchester City, with whom they still must renegotiate Sané’s transfer. As 90min points out, “Alone for this reason, a move by Bayern remains doubtful.”
Robert Lewandowski back on the pitch and feeling good (Bild)
Bayern Munich’s MVP and super-striker Robert Lewandowski was in high spirits yesterday as he put in some work at the training grounds.

Among other drills, Lewy took target practice shooting at some mini-goals — score! His rehabilitation is going perfectly and he will be ready to play against Hertha Berlin when the Rückrunde begins. Bild filmed him even doing sprints:

Toni Kroos doing Toni Kroos things
I don’t even like Kroos, but god damn do I love it how the Germans make an art of catching opponents sleeping on corner kicks. Kroos said after the game that he saw what you see here below: Valencia’s keeper standing at the 6 yard line jawing with his defenders. Oopsy.
This view of Toni Kroos corner golazo is ridiculous. Corner taken quickly... pic.twitter.com/lAXZJstb8U

Harry Kane needs surgery, out until April
José Mourinho’s job at Tottenham just got more complicated. Harry Kane has de facto been ruled out of the rest of the season after suffering a torn hamstring. The English striker had to undergo surgery to repair the injury. Check out our sister site Cartilage Free Captain for more:

I mean, why wouldn’t you? These training videos from Doha are great, too.
Speak of the devil and he appears to be Leroy Sané
Sané tweeted this just minutes after we learned how nasal spray blew (up) his big transfer to Bayern Munich last summer. He’s looking pretty good.
