Bayern Munich midfielder Leon Goretzka’s has suffered yet another setback. Having missed all three of Bayern’s first games of the season, Goretzka has reinjured himself in training with the German national team and must break off training for a few days. He will not be available to play tomorrow in Germany’s Euro 2020 qualifying match against the Netherlands.
Goretzka suffered a serious bruise in training three weeks ago, on August 15, and has struggled to get over it. He was rejoined training ahead of Bayern’s home game against Mainz 05, but did not play.

Now word from Germany’s camp is that Goretzka has suffered a “mild hemorrhage,” presumably aggravating the same injury. Coach Jogi Löw stated at a press conference (Sport1),
He has a mild hemorrhage at a place where he has had problems for a while already. He can’t play.
I think that he’ll head home and probably get an MRI there. He definitely won’t be able to train for two or three days.
This season, Goretzka has played just half an hour, in Bayern’s opening DFB-Pokal match against Energie Cottbus. It is possible that he could play in Germany’s Euro qualifying match against Northern Ireland on Monday.
