U19s smash Ulm 4-0 (FCBayern)

Bayern Munich’s U19 side beat SSV Ulm 4-0 this weekend. Bayern are now third in the A-Junioren Bundesliga Süd/Südwest table after six matches, three points behind leaders Mainz.

Marvin Cuni kicked off the scoring for Bayern in the 6th minute with a shot that just lofted over the head of Ulm’s goalkeeper and into the back of the net after being set up by David Halbich. In the 16th minute, Cuni returned the favor by setting up Halbich to make it 2-0.

Jahn Herrmann made it 3-0 in the 34th minute on an assist from Ryan Johansson to give Bayern a commanding halftime lead. Halbich would grab his second of the game and Bayern’s fourth in the 80th minute when he jumped on a terrible backpass and rounded the goalkeeper before scoring.

Next weekend, Bayern will host Stuttgart at the FCB Campus, before traveling midweek to London to face Tottenham in the UEFA Youth League.

Bayern XI: Schneller – Kehl, Daniliuc, Arrey-Mbi, Herold (46. Mihaljevic) – Waidner, Stiller (46. Mosandl) – Cuni (74. Bazdrigiannis), Johansson, Herrmann (57. Rhein) – Halbich

Frauen II fall to BV Cloppenburg

Bayern Munich Frauen II lost their second 2.Frauen Bundesliga match of the season, this time to BV Cloppenburg.

After opening with neither side gaining the upper hand, Cloppenburg finally struck at the death of the first half. Nadine Anstatt was sent through the backline and finished to give Cloppenburg the 1-0 halftime lead.

As Bayern pushed for a late comeback, it was all but ruled out after Michelle Weiss was sent off after receiving two yellow cards in quick succession in the 60th and 64th minutes. Shortly thereafter, Jana Radosavljevic scored for Cloppenburg, effectively putting the match out of reach for the 10 woman Bayern.

After five matches in the 2.Frauen Bundesliga, Bayern Frauen II sit in fifth place on nine points. Werder Bremen top the table with thirteen points.

Angelo Brückner gave Bayern the lead in the 11th minute finishing off an assist from Jamal Musiala. After controlling the match but unable to score, Bayern finally found their second in the 48th minute through Yusuf Kabadayi.

Viktor Zentrich pulled one back for Unterhaching in the 79th minute. With time ticking away and Bayern nursing a 2-1 lead, Musiala finished off a counter to see Bayern to the 3-1 win.

After seven matchdays, Bayern are sitting in fourth place in the B-Junioren Bundesliga Süd/Südwest table, just three points behind leaders Hoffenheim.
