Monday was a big day in the 2.Bundesliga, as the Hamburg Derby between Hamburg and St. Pauli took place at the Millerntor-Stadion. HSV had the chance to jump back up on top of the table with a point, but St. Pauli were not about to let that happen. Adrian Fein went the distance in the middle of the park for HSV, but St. Pauli took all three points with a 2-0 victory.
Uerdingen picked up a big 2-1 win against FSV Zwickau to pick up their first win since the opening 3.Liga match back on July 21. Evina was subbed out at halftime.
Karatas joined FC Memmingen in the Regionalliga for some guaranteed playing time just before the transfer window shut. The move was to get some game experience for the youngster, since he’s been injured so often at Bayern. Since the last episode of Bavarian Loan Works, Karatas has played in three matches for Memmingen.
The first match was a 2-0 loss in the league to Schweinfurt. Karatas played 70 minutes in this one and had a good performance according to the club’s website.
The second match was a 2-0 victory in the Bayerischer Pokal (Bavarian Cup) against FV Illertissen. Karatas played the full 90.
The third match was 2-1 win against SV Heimstetten in the Regionalliga. Unfortunately, Karatas left this one in the 78th minute with an injury; however, Memmingen do not believe it is serious.
