Optimism might be spiking at Bayern Munich these days. Corentin Tolisso, for one, is excited about the potential of the team’s roster — particularly the additions of Ivan Perisic and Philippe Coutinho.

Specifically, Tolisso thinks Perisic and Coutinho have put Bayern Munich in prime position to make a run at a treble. Tolisso talked with Sport Bild about the importance of the team’s roster moves:

Before they both were there, we did not necessarily have a team that might win the Triple this season. But Ivan and Philippe will do us very well. They will help us to win titles this year. With this team, we can go a long way in the Champions League, and I think the title is feasible. Every player dreams of the “Big-Eared Cup.” Bayern has not won it since 2013. I think it’s time to get it again.

Toisso thinks that the addition of Coutinho should pay dividends:

He has everything a world-class player needs. He had his best years in Liverpool, and he broke everything down at the 10. He is very strong on the ball, and of course he can make the difference in the crucial moments. He is threat on goal, he has very good finishing, and has a good eye for teammates. He will be very important to us.

Even with the prospect of Coutinho’s impact and the goal of winning a Champions League title, Tolisso has not lost sight of Bayern Munich’s objective of holding off a challenge from Borussia Dortmund and winning the Bundesliga:

We are better, we have the better team — quite clearly. They beat us in the Supercup, but now we want revenge. We have two games against BVB in the league. We will give our all to beat them twice. I really think that we are better overall, even if Dortmund has a good team.
