One time Bayern Munich target Ante Rebic appears close to making a move from Eintracht Frankfurt to AC Milan. The 25-year-old forward is the last remaining piece to Die Adler’s “Big Three” from last season that also featured Sebastien Haller and Luka Jovic.
Haller has since moved on to West Ham United on a reported €50 million transfer and has three goals in three Premier League games. Jovic, meanwhile, went to Real Madrid on a €60 million transfer and has found his way into Zinedine Zidane’s doghouse in Spain. Jovic has been held scoreless in two La Liga appearances for Los Blancos.
As for Rebic, respected Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano is reporting AC Milan and Eintracht Frankfurt are in advanced talks:
AC Milan are in advanced talks with Eintracht to sign Ante Rebic! The player is ready to accept, talks ongoing. #ACMilan #transfers @DiMarzio

Another report, however, indicates that Eintracht Frankdfurt could enter into a “loan with an agreement to buy” arrangement with AC Milan with the deal totaling €25 million to €30 million.
AC Milan are in advanced negotiations to sign Ante Rebic from Eintracht: a loan with with obligation to buy after a certain number of appearances, total deal will be around €25-30 million. An agreement is VERY close ⚫️

For Eintracht Frankfurt, the timing of this move is not ideal. Eintracht Frankfurt has a very solid Bundesliga squad, but losing Rebic will certainly weaken the teams chances in Germany and in the Europa League alike.
In a group with Arsenal, Standard Liège, and Vitória S.C., Eintracht Frankfurt might have its hands full in trying to advance without Rebic. The Croatia international has three goals and one assist in six games across all competitions this season.
Rebic is said to be a favorite of Bayern Munich coach Niko Kovac, but the 47-year-old has been unable to convince his bosses in the front office that Rebic would be a fit in Bavaria.
Rebic has been closely linked to both Inter Milan, AC Milan, and Atlético Madrid, along with Bayern Munich during this transfer window.
Rebic was not in the squad for Eintracht Frankfurt’s game today vs. Fortuna Düsseldorf.
