Germany scored five goals in each half to easily beat Montenegro 10-0 on Saturday. The match was their first in qualifying for Euro 2021. Alexandra Popp had a first half hat trick to lead the Germans to a big victory.

Martina Voss-Tecklenburg gave young striker Klara Buhl a start up top in this one. The 18 year old did not disappoint, picking up two goals of her own, one in each half. However, it was Svenja Huth that got the scoring started on the day for the Germans, as she poked one home after just three minutes. The other goals were scored by Sara Doorsoun, Turid Knaak, Lea Schuller, and Linda Dallmann.

Of worry for Bayern will be the status of Carolin Simon. The defender is being sent back to Munich due to severe stomach problems, so the club can assess her status.

Germany’s next match in Qualifying will be Tuesday, September 3 against Ukraine. Due to UEFA’s unfortunate use of five-team groups, this was the only group match played today.

Germany XI: Frohms — Knaak, Oberdorf, Doorsoun, Gwinn (Rauch 61) — Magull, Dabritz (Dallmann 53), Huth, Marozsan, Popp (Schuller (53) — Buhl
