One of the names most noted as a potential “Plan B” option for Bayern Munich should its pursuit of Manchester City star Leroy Sane flounder has been Ajax’s Hakim Ziyech. Ziyech, the 26-year-old winger whose speed and skill dazzled the masses during the Dutch club’s tremendous run in the Champions League last season, was allegedly on Bayern’s target list now that an ACL injury has muddied the waters on a prospective deal for Sane.
In what is either horrific timing or a clear statement that Ziyech is not leaving the Netherlands this summer, the player signed a contract extension through 2022 to remain with Ajax.

Certainly, the deal would not preclude Bayern form making an offer on the Morocco international, but the timing of this announcement would definitely be odd if Ajax were to turn around and flip him to the Bavarians at this stage.
Overall, Ziyech has played 133 games and scored 42 goals in his career for Ajax.
Update
According to Christian Falk, PSV winger Steven Bergwijn is also close to a contract extension.
the candidates for @FCBayern are becoming fewer and fewer. Hakim Ziyech has already renewed his contract. And: also Steven Bergwijn is close to it by @psveindhoven
