Lucas Hernandez enjoyed a successful debut for FC Bayern Munich as Die Roten displayed a dominant performance against FC Rottach-Egern. Hernandez made his debut for Die Bayern when the French defender came on at halftime. Playing alongside his fellow compatriot Benjamin Pavard, the 23-year-old was undoubtedly relieved in his return to the football pitch.

Suffering a knee injury requiring surgery, the French World Cup winner feels “very good,” and acknowledges that it’s a “step by step” recovery process as the defender looks to make his competitive debut in the near future.
The defender’s determination to represent FC Bayern is apparent and one fans will appreciate. Stating that he feels “no pain” and is in “good shape,” Hernandez will be hoping it won’t be much longer until he’s given the green light by the medical team to make his competitive debut.
FC Bayern’s next competitive fixture is against FC Energie Cottbus in the first round of the DFB-Pokal.
