While working hard to invest in the first team this summer, Bayern Munich have also been hard at work at levels beneath the first in an effort to strengthen the club for the long term. While there have been several transfers into the youth ranks, there have also been a few young players sold to other German clubs.
Two of those players, Adrian Fein and Franck Evina, have been loaned out (again) to the other clubs in an attempt to continue their development. Fein is with Hamburg in the 2.Bundesliga after spending last season with Jahn Regensburg. Evina is playing for KFC Uerdingen in the 3.Liga.
Adrian Fein - Hamburg - 2.Bundesliga
Fein has started both games for Hamburg to kick off their season. In both games, Fein has been the defensive midfielder in a 4-1-2-3 lineup. While Fein was solid all season-long last year for Regensburg in the same division, the expectations are going to be higher on him with Hamburg as they’re pushing for promotion back to the Bundesliga.
Hamburg have taken four points in their first two games: a 1-1 draw with Darmstadt and a 4-0 win over Nurnberg.
Franck Evina - KFC Uerdingen - 3.Liga
Evina has started three games up top as a loan forward and one wide left in a 4-4-2 formation. He’s been on fire, scoring a goal in all four matches. One of those goals was a match winner, while the other three were done to tie a game. After struggling to get on the field for Kiel in the 2.Bundesliga last season, Evina is absolutely tearing up the 3.Liga at the moment.
Uerdingen have five points after four matches to start the 3.Liga season. One of those matches, was a 2-1 loss to Bayern II.
