After a mildly successful run in the International Champions Cup and Audi Cup, Bayern Munich was dumped by Borussia Dortmund in the DFL Supercup on Saturday. Now, however, the team is about to being its most serious preparation for the DFB-Pokal and Bundesliga as it will head to Tegernsee for this week’s training camp.

The Bavarians will bring their full squad to camp and all should be ready to participate with the exception of former Atlético Madrid defender Lucas Hernandez, who will be gradually integrated into full training. Bayern Munich also has brought along defender Lars Lukas Mai, forward Kwasi Okyere Wriedt, and midfielders Paul Will and Sarpreet Singh to Tegernsee, which brings the total to 21 outfield players and three goalkeepers.

The training camp will feature two open training sessions and two closed training sessions, with Bayern playing a game against local team FC Rottach-Egern on Thursday August 8th.

Upon the conclusion of camp on Saturday, the squad will head back to Munich, where it will begin its final preparations to square-off with Energie Cottbus on August 12th in the DFB-Pokal. From there, Bayern Munich will kick off the Bundesliga season against Hertha Berlin on August 16th.
