30+ Bayern Munich youth players receive international call-ups

Nearly three dozen Bayern Munich youth players were called up to their respective national teams.

Ontuzans called up to Latvian senior team (LFF)

Bayern Munich II midfielder Daniel Ontuzans has been called up to Latvia’s senior team for upcoming Euro 2020 Qualifiers against Austria and Northern Macedonia.


Germany U21 (DFB)

Germany prep for upcoming U21 Euro Qualifiers with friendlies against Greece and Wales. While no active Bayern players were called up to the squad, Bayern loanee Adrian Fein (Hamburg) has been called up to play in the midfield in this one.

Former Bayern players Maxime Awoudja (Stuttgart) and Niklas Dorsch (Heidenheim) were also called up to the squad.

Germany U20 (DFB)

Three Bayern Munich players were called up to Germany’s brand new U20 national team, while another joined the standby list. Christian Fruchtl, Lars Lukas Mai, and Paul Will are all going to play two friendlies against the Czech Republic and the Netherlands.

Two former Bayern players were also added to the standby list: Mainz’s Jonathan Meier and Wolverhampton Wanderers’s Meritan Shabani.

Oliver Batista Meier and Leon Dajaku from Bayern II and U19 teams were called up to the Germany U19 squad for upcoming friendlies against Spain and England.

Zylla called up to Poland U20 (PZPN)

Bayern II forward Marcel Zylla has been called up to Poland’s U20 side for two upcoming friendlies against Italy and Portugal.


Yuasa called up to USA U20 Women (US Soccer)

Sixteen year old Aki Yuasa was called up to the USA U20 Women’s camp for two friendlies against Japan.


Germany U19 Frauen (DFB)

Eight Bayern Munich players have been called up to Germany’s U19 Frauen team for friendlies against Belgium and the Netherlands. They will begin qualification for the 2020 U19 European Championship in the next international break window. Only two Bayern players, Leonie Koster and Laura Donhauser, represented Germany at the 2019 U19 Euros.

Zirkzee named to Dutch U19 team (onsoranje)

Joshua Zirkzee was called up to represent the Netherlands U19 team in friendlies against Italy and Portugal.


Timossi Andersson called up to Sweden’s U18 (svenskfotboll)

Alex Timossi Andersson has been named to Sweden’s U18 squad for an upcoming friendly tournament in Denmark. In addition to Sweden and Denmark, the tournament features Norway and Wales.


Germany U17 (DFB)

Five Bayern players have been called up to Germany’s U17 squad for an upcoming tournament in North Rhine-Westphalia. They will play games against Belgium, Italy, and Israel.

Midfielders/Forwards: Jamal Musiala, Torben Rhein
Standby: Lasse Gunther, Roman Reinelt


Germany U17 Frauen (DFB)

Annika Wohner will join Germany’s U17 Frauen team in a trip to Sweden over the international break for a tournament featuring Sweden (obviously), the United states, and Spain.

Germany U16 (DFB)

Three Bayern payers were called up to Germany’s U16 team and will play in two friendlies against Austria in the upcoming break.
