Bayern Munich’s Robert Lewandowski earns international call-up for Poland

Fresh off of a hat trick against Schalke, Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski has earned an international call-up for Poland.

It has been a nice few days for Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski. Last week, word broke that the Polish Hitman was in discussions to extend his contract through 2023 with the Bavarians and over the weekend Lewandowski battered Schalke 04 with a hat trick during Bayern Munich’s 3-0 win over Die Königsblauen.

Now, Lewandowski’s streak of good vibes is continuing as the 31-year-old has earned another international call-up for Poland. Lewandowski has been scorching hot for Bayern Munich with six goals in four games across all competitions so far this season.

The Polish team will do battle in UEFA Euro 2020 Group G qualifier action against Slovenia on September 6th (2:45PM EST) at Stožice Stadium in Ljubljana, Slovenia and against Austria on September 9th (2:45PM EST) at PGE Narodowy, aka National Stadium, in Warsaw, Poland.

Some other notable members of the squad include Juventus goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny and AC Milan striker Krzysztof Piatek. Piatek, of course, was closely linked to Bayern Munich last fall before he made the jump to AC Milan from Genoa.
