Bayern Munich legend Franck Ribery will continue his career in Serie A after officially signing with Fiorentina. The 36-year-old has reportedly signed a two-year deal with the Italian club after winning nine Bundesliga titles in Bavaria.
Ribery spent 12 extremely successful seasons with Bayern Munich where he arrived in 2007 on a €25 million transfer fee. His most recognized year was 2013 when Bayern Munich won the Champions League and Ribery finished third in the Ballon d’Or.
While financial terms were not announced, Fiorentina did make the signing official via their website and on social media:

Ribery issued a brief statement about his move:
I’m delighted. Let’s achieve something together. I spoke to Luca Toni and he told me that Fiorentina is a big club and that the city is lovely. I’m happy.
The move to Fiorentina would appear to be the last stop for Ribery in his illustrious career, but one can never really doubt his persistence to keep going. Good luck in Italy, Franck!
