Bayern Munich II lose second match of the season, 1-2 against Hansa Rostock

In another learning experience for just how tough this league is going to be, Bayern II drop all three points in Rostock.

While Bayern Munich’s first team was smashing Fenerbahce on Tuesday in the Audi Cup, Bayern II were seven and a half hours north in the city of Rostock. With many of the players playing in front of their first crowds with as many as 17,000 people in attendance, Bayern II lost to Hansa Rostock 2-1.

Hansa built their two goal lead with goals just on either side of halftime from Pascal Breier and Korbinian Vollmann. Bayern II struck late, in the 84th minute, through Josip Stanisic, but it wasn’t enough.

Bayern II return to the field on Saturday when they host Viktoria Koln at the Grunwalder Stadion. Unfortunately, the return of Nicolas Feldhahn won’t happen this weekend. The captain is still building up to full fitness after recovering from his injury.

Bayern XI: Hoffmann - Rochelt, Mai, Daniliuc, Stanisic - Welzmüller (63. Will), Kern - Dajaku, Zirkzee (79. Shabani), Batista Meier (79. Nollenberger) - Wriedt
