While Bayern Munich’s first team was smashing Fenerbahce on Tuesday in the Audi Cup, Bayern II were seven and a half hours north in the city of Rostock. With many of the players playing in front of their first crowds with as many as 17,000 people in attendance, Bayern II lost to Hansa Rostock 2-1.
Hansa built their two goal lead with goals just on either side of halftime from Pascal Breier and Korbinian Vollmann. Bayern II struck late, in the 84th minute, through Josip Stanisic, but it wasn’t enough.
