New signings to reinforce the squad is what everyone is looking forward to in Munich. Just a day before officially announcing the signing of Ivan Perisic from Inter Milan, Bayern Munich’s Manuel Neuer and David Alaba opened up about their thoughts regarding the current transfer scenario.

It is believed that Bayern will make one or more new transfers before the window closes. It is up to the management to make quick and right decisions. Alaba is confident about his bosses and believes that they will take the necessary actions at the right time. He said: (via Sport1)

We never lost our confidence in our bosses. Something still has to and will come.

Too many injuries and lack of bench strength are what haunted Bayern in the knockouts of the Champions League matches for about half a decade. It is apparent that the only solution for that is signing more players who have the potential and who would fit in with the squad. Neuer believes that everything is in the hands of the management and it’s all just a matter of them being active:

We will have a good squad in this season again. We also discussed that in advance with the front office. Hence I was always sure that something would happen. When the front takes action, it will be more so in offense.

Even though the signing of Perisic is quite a relief, it is not a good idea for Bayern to let the transfer window end without bringing in more players. Competition within and outside of the Bundesliga is tightening and it’s an urgent need of the hour to nourish the squad.
