Bayern Frauen will play Eintracht Frankfurt in DFB Pokal

The Second Round Draw for the 2019-20 DFB Pokal Frauen has taken place, and Bayern Munich know their destination. The Bavarians will travel to Eintracht Frankfurt to play their opening game in the DFB Pokal. Frankfurt won their First Round game 3-1 over SV Hegnach.

Bayern are targeting nothing short of lifting the Cup this season. Two years ago, Bayern lost to Wolfsburg in the Final on penalties. Last season, Wolfsburg eliminated Bayern once again, this time, in the Semifinals.

This will actually be the final season of the current version of Eintracht Frankfurt. Beginning next season, Eintracht is merging with legendary-but-financially-struggling Frauen Bundesliga club FFC Frankfurt under the Eintracht Frankfurt umbrella.
