Bayern Frauen prep for the Emirates Cup (FCBayern.de)
Bayern Munich Frauen and Arsenal will play Sunday in the Emirates Cup at London’s Emirates Stadium. With Arsenal’s men’s team playing Lyon following the women’s match, over 60,000 fans are expected to pack the stadium.
It’s a big match for both Bayern and Arsenal. Both clubs have received a bye directly into the knockout round of the Champions League, so any match against another big club is beneficial to both sides.
Former Bayern players suiting up for Arsenal include Jill Roord, Lisa Evans, Leonie Maier, Viktoria Schnaderbeck, Vivianne Miedema, and Manuela Zinsberger.
