Klopp eyed Ribery? (The Mirror)
At one point during this transfer window, Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp was considering bringing in Bayern Munich legend Franck Ribery as a depth piece for his squad, but ultimately didn’t make a move.
Liverpool were reportedly close to making a surprise move to sign 36-year-old winger Franck Ribery this summer. Ribery is out of contract with Bayern Munich and currently searching for a new club. And according to French publication L’Equipe, Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp was tempted into pursuing a move for the player. However, with not many outgoings so far this summer for the Reds it appears he decided in the end his squad has enough going forward without the need for Ribery.
In addition, Ribery reportedly rejected an offer to join AS Monaco because he “doesn’t want to play in France or in Germany for other than the clubs of his heart: Olympique Marseille and FC Bayern” as captured by @iMiaSanMia from the L’Equipe story.

Bayern scoping Ramos (Sportbuzzer)
Bayern Munich is taking a close look at 18-year-old Benfica striker Goncalo Ramos.
Bayern is still looking for a big solution in the transfer market, especially on offense. Meanwhile, according to a media report, a young talent from Portugal comes to the forefront: Goncalo Ramos.
Looking for the big hit in the transfer market, FC Bayern has apparently encountered a hopeful talent from Portugal. As reported by the Portuguese newspaper Record, Goncalo Ramos is on the wish list of the German record champion. The 18-year-old offensive player is currently under contract with Benfica Lisbon, but is mostly used in the junior team.
More interest in Wriedt (Sport.de)
According to a report by Sport.de, Dynamo Dresden has interest in Bayern II striker Kwasi Wriedt.
Dynamo Dresden deals with the 25-year-old striker Kwasi Wriedt. Accordingly, the top scorer of the Regionalliga Süd could be awarded to the second division. Recently, Wriedt has also been associated with Werder Bremen, Hertha BSC, Norwich City, FC Utrecht and FC Groningen. Munich will resist a sale. Perhaps a loan is a solution that all lots could live with.
Amaechi signs with Der Dino (BBC)
Often linked to Bayern Munich, Arsenal prospect Xavier Amaechi has signed with Hamburger SV. In addition to Bayern and Hamburg, FC Barcelona, Inter Milan, Nice, and Hertha Berlin were all contemplating a move for the 18-year-old.
Arsenal winger Xavier Amaechi has completed a move to Hamburg after signing a four-year contract with the German second division club. Hamburg will pay a fee in excess of 2.5m euros (£2.25m), plus several million in performance-related add-ons, while Arsenal have a sell-on clause but no buy-back option. The 18-year-old England youth international, who passed a medical on Saturday before putting pen to paper, will wear the number 17 shirt at the Volksparkstadion.
Amaechi turned down a number of high-profile suitors and an offer to extend his Arsenal deal, which had a year remaining. He received approaches from Barcelona, Bayern Munich, Inter Milan, Nice, Hertha Berlin and Championship sides, as well as late interest from four Premier League teams.
Borussia Dortmund’s Jadon Sancho has created quite a stir for German clubs looking to recreate the same magic with young English players.

Rode signs with Eintracht (kicker)
After spending part of last season with Eintracht Frankfurt on loan, former Bayern Munich midfielder Sebastian Rode has joined Die Adler permanently.
Eintracht Frankfurt has firmly committed Sebastian Rode, most recently loaned by Borussia Dortmund, and has signed a five-year contract until 2024. “We all saw the value Sebastian has in our game, and after his commitment last winter, we won important parts in the game,” said Eintracht sporting director Fredi Bobic.
Bayern set to miss out on Wolves starlet Gibbs-White (90min.com)
Bayern Munich has seemed to have a focus on acquiring young players to help as building blocks for the future during this transfer window. One player Bayern won’t get is Wolverhampton’s Morgan Gibbs-White, who has opted to spurn the Bavarians, Manchester City, Manchester United, and Chelsea in favor of the Wanderers.
Wolverhampton Wanderers are set to hand starlet Morgan Gibbs-White a bumper new deal, to keep him away from the clutches of a host of clubs — including German giants Bayern Munich. Manchester City, Manchester United and Chelsea have all been tracking the 19-year-old, who established himself as a vital part of Nuno Espirito Santo’s squad last season.
